Spring 2025 Newsletter
At Beliade Consumer Partners, we back Modern Brands for Healthier Americans — companies that enable cleaner, more intentional living across food & beverage, personal care, beauty, apparel, fitness, and beyond.
Despite ongoing concerns around U.S. consumer sentiment, our strategy is delivering. BCP’s portfolios have consistently outperformed industry benchmarks, with leading net revenue growth across multiple funds and categories. We're investing with discipline — and the results are compounding.

Footnote: Industry benchmarks are based on 2024 growth rates. Food & Beverage industry growth rates provided by Circana; Apparel industry growth rates provided by Claight; Beauty & Personal Care industry growth rates provided by NielsenIQ.
Put simply, growth across BCP’s portfolio is accelerating. 2025 is off to our strongest start yet.
We’ve now backed over 20 breakout consumer brands, and the signal is clear: American consumers are still spending especially on products that align with their values. Clean ingredients, functional wellness, purpose-driven storytelling - it’s not niche anymore, it’s mainstream.
We believe this shift represents a generational investment opportunity. That’s why we’re leaning in with conviction through Beliade Fund IV, as well as targeted co-investments.

Exits & Liquidity Highlights
BCP recently exited a stake in our portfolio company Coterie, generating an 11.0x return - that’s over 1,000% ROI, and more than $15 million in cash distributed to BCP investors. This investment was made in May 2020, during peak uncertainty, peak fear. While others sat on the sidelines, we had conviction. And we’re now seeing the payoff. Disciplined investing in moments of doubt can create exceptional outcomes. This is one of those moments.
New BCP Companies & Further Investments
In 2025, we've continued to invest in consumer brands that are scaling rapidly, resonating deeply with modern American families, and demonstrating strong fundamentals. We've welcomed two new brands to the Beliade portfolio and expanded our support for breakout stars with significant growth potential.
Nemah
A fast-emerging maternal skincare brand, Nemah is redefining postpartum self-care. Their hero product - the Firming Body Serum—is earning cult status among moms and OB-GYNs alike, praised for its clean formula and real results. The global body firming creams market is projected to reach USD 5.8 billion by 2035, driven by consumer demand for non-invasive skincare solutions.
Stone & Skillet
Handcrafted English muffins made in small batches with a loyal Northeast following, Stone & Skillet is elevating an overlooked breakfast staple into something crave-worthy. They’re not your average grocery aisle muffins - they’re the cool ones, baked fresh in small batches and available at places like Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Wegmans, Meijer, and many other retailers.
Little Sesame
This D.C.-born brand makes the cleanest, most flavorful hummus in the country. They've opened a new 10,000 sq ft production facility in Prince George's County, Maryland, to meet growing demand. They've also launched a new kids' line and recently introduced two buzzworthy flavors—Green Goddess and Golden Garlic. Pick up a tub today at Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Wegman’s.
Super Smalls

Founder & CEO Spotlight
We don’t just invest in brands, we back the people bold enough to build them from the ground up. The founders we partner with are redefining what it means to be an American brand in this era: values-driven, community-rooted, and product-obsessed. These are the kinds of founders we look for at Beliade.
Relentless in their standards.
Rooted in real-world values.
Building not just for scale - but for legacy.
Below we spotlight two founders who espouse these values.
Nick Wiseman | Co-Founder & CEO | Little Sesame
Nick isn’t just making hummus - he’s building a movement around real food that tastes amazing and does good. Drawing from his fine-dining background and his family’s deep hospitality roots, Nick launched Little Sesame with a vision to bring clean, crave-worthy Mediterranean flavor to every American fridge. From sourcing regenerative chickpeas to opening a new 10,000 sq ft production facility in Maryland, he’s scaling with purpose and soul.
Matt Parry | Founder & CEO | The Good Crisp Company
An Aussie transplant with a big idea, Matt came to the U.S. snack aisle with a mission: to make junk-free chips that kids love - and parents trust. What started as a better-for-you take on the traditional canister chip, has grown into a national brand with a passionate fanbase and breakout velocity at shelf. Matt’s humility, persistence, and product integrity embody the kind of grounded leadership that scales sustainably. He’s not just cleaning up salty snacks - he’s proving they can still be fun.

Built in America, not just marketed here

The Trade Shock That Could Build America Back Better | Read Here
Personal Perspectives by Martin Dolfi
What if the next big investment upside wasn’t in Silicon Valley, but in Scranton, Akron, or rural Tennessee? In his latest essay, “The Trade Shock That Could Build America Back Better,” Martin lays out a bold vision: one where pro-tariff industrial policy, domestic manufacturing, and U.S. supply chain resilience aren't just patriotic ideas, they’re smart economics. Martin argues that reshoring isn’t about protectionism - it’s about rebalancing the playing field, investing in American workers, and creating long-term value through supply chain sovereignty and consumer trust. It’s a roadmap for rebuilding American prosperity from the ground up - and it’s already sparking conversations in boardrooms, policy circles, and investor meetings across the country.
Upcoming Webinar: Tariff Talk: Strategies to Cut Costs & Navigate Policy Changes in 2025 | Email Us To RSVP
Join BCP Partner Bill Schultz and Tom Gould, a trade consultant and expert, for a candid discussion tariffs on April 30th. Bill and Tom will discuss:
How will the new tariff regime impact brands – both direct costs as well as less obvious indirect costs (e.g. compliance, reporting)?
What are short-term strategies that brands can develop to help offset these impacts?
What are longer-term strategies that brands should be setting into motion today?
Community | Culture
At BCP, we believe that how you build is just as important as what you build. Whether it’s through service, storytelling, or simply showing up, we’re committed to a culture that reflects our values.
Spring Café Aspen Happy Hour
This April, we gathered a cross-section of our founders, investors, operators, and advisors for an happy hour in NYC. A reminder that trust is built face-to-face.
Running for Purpose
Martin ran the TCS New York City Marathon to raise money for Stay-Focused, a nonprofit helping teens with disabilities experience the freedom of scuba diving. After walking the last few miles on exhausted legs, Martin crossed the finish line and raised thousands in support of a cause close to his heart.
Giving Back in Tennessee
Partner Whitney Williams leads BCP’s community engagement efforts in Nashville, where she works closely with several local nonprofits focused on women’s empowerment, education access, and early-stage entrepreneurship. Whether it’s mentoring founders, hosting impact dinners, or rolling up her sleeves on the ground, Whitney brings heart and hustle to every initiative.
Ecosystem Builder
From Expo West to FounderMade, BCP Partner Bill Schultz is constantly on the road, not just representing our firm but listening to the pulse of the consumer innovation ecosystem. He’s built authentic relationships across retailers, founders, and thought leaders - often being the first to spot breakout trends before they hit mainstream. He’s not just connecting dots - he’s helping entire ecosystems thrive.
Investment Themes We’re Looking At Next
The world isn’t slowing down and neither are we. Here’s what’s on our radar as we look ahead:
The Retail Reshuffling If TikTok is Banned - what happens when the #1 discovery engine for Gen Z products goes dark? We're tracking the ripple effects across DTC, retail media, and influencer-driven merchandising and identifying which brands are best positioned to adapt.
Reshoring & Pricing Power - the U.S. manufacturing conversation has shifted from “can we?” to “how fast?” We’re examining how reshoring can protect gross margins and elevate brand equity, especially in categories where American-made signals trust and quality.
The Rise of the Health-Conscious, Family-Centric U.S. Consumer - from functional snacks to family-first personal care, today’s consumer is demanding better-for-you products that align with values. This isn’t a trend, it’s a generational reset, and we’re building the portfolio to match.
